Joom pays special attention to product quality and develops a diverse product assortment on the platform. This way we can expand to new markets and keep our clients satisfied. 

To provide the best user experience, we need to be sure that products on the platform are of a good quality and meet the applicable requirements of customers' countries. Therefore, we limit the sale of products in certain categories. That means that only selected merchants can sell products in such categories on Joom.

What Are the Limited Categories?

The list of limited categories updates regularly. If your product falls into such a category, it will receive a red diagnostics. Click the diagnostics to learn what is missed. 

How to Start Selling in a Limited Category?

To start selling in a limited category, a merchant should get Joom approval firstly. To achieve this, please complete the following two steps.

Step 1: Ensure you meet Joom requirements in the category

Requirements differ on categories, but general criteria include:

• Product high quality;
• IP rights compliance;
• Brand (if applicable);
• CE marking or other certification (if applicable);
• Positive reviews.

Step 2: Send a request to Joom Merchant support

Contact our Merchant support team and leave a request for a particular category. You can do that at merchant@joom.com or via chat window in the Merchant Panel.

Be ready to provide the related documents and information. Joom category manager reviews each request and can ask you additional questions. Please follow the guidance of the Merchant support team.

The decision will also be submitted to you by Merchant support.

Once a request is approved, you can start selling in the chosen category. Still, Joom will monitor your products, and can revise your selected status, if the uploaded products do not correspond to the criteria.
