Unverified Products Limit
Joom focuses on growing sales of bestsellers, as well as new products consciously selected by the merchants. That's why, each merchant can have the limited number of unverified products on Joom.
What Is an Unverified Product?
Unverified products are the products with Unverified tier or with no tier at all.
Unverified tier basically means that the platform hasn't gathered enough information about your product yet. The Unverified tier only includes the products:
- with less than 5 sales;
- with fewer than 2 user reviews.
All other factors, such as product rating or cancellation rate, are not considered.
Products with no tier are also considered as unverified, except for Top store products.
From May 23rd, 2023, products that meet the following criteria will be blocked:
What Is the Limit?
In general, each merchant can have up to 500 enabled unverified products at a time. The limit applies to a merchant account, and not to a store.
|💡 Products of any other tier do not consider into the limit, you can have any amount of them.|
If the number of unverified products that you've published reaches the limit, you cannot enable more products. The product you try to enable will receive the red diagnostics, and will not be published. Still, you can upload new products without publishing them. Once you free up the slots for other products, you can publish them within the limit.
|Available action||Unverified products fit the limit||Unverified products exceed the limit|
|Upload new products||✅||✅|
|Publish new products||✅||❌|
|Republish old products||✅||❌|
In some cases, a previously enabled product can change its tier to Unverified (for example, if a product hasn't received many orders recently). Even if the current unverified products limit is reached, it will not influence the product. In such a case, the product will not be blocked or disabled by the system. Still, it will take up a slot within the limit until it changes its tier again.
|✍️ Enabled products cannot be blocked due to the limit. However, they will take up slots within the limit, preventing you from publishing more products.|
Where to Check the Unverified Products Amount?
You can see your current product limit on the Products page in the Merchant Panel. The progress bar shows the number of products taking up slots within the limit:
- If the bar is blue, your unverified products fit into the limit (take <80%);
- If the bar is yellow, your unverified products fit into the limit (take ≥80%);
- If it's red, your unverified products have already exceeded the limit.
How to Free up the Limit?
To fit into the limit, merchants can disable the unpromising products of Unverified tier. This way, you will free up space for new products that you're sure to become bestsellers. To disable a product:
- Go to the Products page in the Merchant Panel;
- Use filters tier "Unverified" and Has active version Yes to find the relevant unverified product;
- Click the product you want to disable;
- Toggle the Enable button in the right upper corner;
- Confirm changes.
Once you free up the limit, you can continue enabling products. If some products fail to enable the first time due to the limit, they will have a red diagnostics. You can find such products by using the filter Diagnostics: Unverified products limit reached.
Click the Dismiss button on the product diagnostics. If the limit is not reached, the product will be published this time.
Can a limit be changed?
Yes, Joom can manually revise the merchant's limit depending on your stores' performance.
If the number of new products is limited, how to develop the assortment?
Upload products with the sure quality and demand, rather than random items. Thus, your new products are more likely to be successful.
Can a previously enabled product be withdrawn from sale due to the limit?
No, the enabled products cannot be withdrawn from sale due to the limit. Still, your current unverified products take up slots within the limit. If you exceed the limit, you will not be able to enable new products.
What happens if a product with the Trusted or Competing tier is temporarily out of stock?
If a product with a good tier is removed from sale by a merchant (for example, it's out of stock), then the product will temporarily lose its tier the next day. In this case, if the limit is now reached, the product cannot be published again until you free up the space for it. To fit into the limit, we recommend disabling unsuccessful unverified products first. This way, you can publish the product you need back. The next day, the product will restore its tier and will no longer occupy a place in the limit so that you can publish other products.
