Intellectual Property Protection on Joom
Joom respects and protects the intellectual property (IP) rights of third parties. Joom maintains a zero-tolerance attitude toward sale of counterfeits on the platform. If a merchant violates the intellectual property (IP) rights, Joom has the right to apply relative penalties to them.
What Are the IP Rights Infringing Products?
Products directly use the brand name or logo of a third party without permission or letter of authorization |
Products contain an image with a brand logo or brand name that is blurred out or hidden |
Products use the brand name or a brand logo that is identical or similar to the intellectual property of a third party |
Products use the altered / modified brand logo or name, similar to well-known brands of a third party |
The design of the product is identical or similar to an existing brand design and violates the design patent of a third party |
Products contain images of famous people and celebrities |
Products contain images from films and computer games or use famous movie and cartoon characters in a design without permission or letter of authorization |
Penalty for IP Rights Infringement
Joom takes a firm stance against violations of third-party rights. Joom systematically monitors counterfeits; and regularly, we check the moderated and newly uploaded infringing products of all merchants.
According to the platform policy, Joom can penalize merchants by different methods at the discretion of the platform without prior notice. Such methods include, but are not limited to:

- Account blocking;
- Product blocking;
- Issuing a strike;
- Other restrictions Joom will consider necessary and sufficient.
Money can be collected from merchants for losses caused by violations of the rules.
