About product search and ranking
The interface of Joom client terminal is highly personalized based on user behavior and preference. In order to reduce the possibility of displaying identical products to clients, the platform algorithm will put all identical products into one group and only choose one product from this group for displaying. Factors included in the algorithm as well:

The higher the client’s acceptance of the product price is, the more likely client will purchase the product. For this reason, Joom ranking algorithm will display products with reasonable pricing. Besides, the more popular the product is, the more GMV the product has, the higher the product ranking will be. Merchants can try to optimize product ranking by optimizing those factors. For more details please refer to the article Product Ranking and Search. The better the merchant performance is, the more traffic he will get from the platform. With more traffic, merchant’s products are more likely to appear on the Best page and to get higher ranking.
About promotional activities
Joom offers a variety of promotional activities to help merchants increase their sales. The main promotional activities on Joom are:

Permanent promotions include Limited Time Offer and Freebies.
There are multiple front-end manifestations for Limited Time Offer, such as Guess the Price, Limited Time Offer (Limited Time Price Reduction), Group Buy etc. Participating Limited Time Offer is a two-way selection between Joom and merchants. Joom will randomly select products with rating higher than 3.5 or without any rating to participate the promotion. The discount rate will be decided by the system randomly, it could be up to 10%.

Freebies is a promotional activity in which merchant gives client a product for free and the client gives product review as exchange. Merchant can use Freebies to promote both new products and products struggling with getting attention from client, since product reviews have big impact on the conversion rate. Merchants with good performance can participate in this promotional activity, Joom will choose 4 clients randomly among those who participated in getting the product for free. ⚠️ PLEASE NOTE: To ensure the reliability and timeliness of the Freebies product delivery, merchant must choose registered mail or express delivery, it is not allowed to use non-registered mail.
Special Promotions |
Weekly and Daily Promotion, monthly promotion, seasonal promotion etc. belong to Special Promotions. Merchant can check available special promotion activities on Merchant Panel Special Promotions page. For more details about the participating procedure, please refer to the article Special Promotions.
To enable merchants to prepare the monthly, seasonal, and themed promotions in advance, Joom published Promotions Calendar. All merchants who are qualified to participate will see the participating access on the Merchant Panel. The dates and promotion type could change, the actual situation is subject to Merchant Panel information.
Category Competitive Price |
Merchant can increase product sales by participating in the promotional activity: Category Competitive Price, this promotion can make merchant’s product price more competitive. Category Competitive Price has no restriction on participating time, product category and product amount, besides, it is open to all merchants. Merchant can register to participate by fill in this form. For more details please refer to the article Category Competitive Price.
Influencer Program and Best Product |
A blogger is a KOL who is a verified Joom author with many subscribers and posts. Influencer Program means merchant cooperates with blogger and receives high quality product review from blogger. Social media users will be able to read the product review from the blogger and thus increase their willingness to purchase. According to data collected on Joom platform, Influencer Program has positive impact on product sales. Merchants can participate in this promotional activity via Merchant Panel Influencer Program page. For more information please refer to the article Influencer Program.
Best Product page is the default landing page of the Joom APP. This page generates about 50% of the platform GMV. Merchant doesn’t have to apply to participate in the Best Product promotion, Joom will automatically add products to the Best Product page, taking variety of factors into account, such as Merchant Performance, product price, rating, GMV, and conversion. About Joom Ads
Joom Ads will bring more orders to merchant. If a user’s needs match with a product participating in the Joom Ads Campaigns, this product will get higher ranking on the Joom APP of this user. Joom Ads product will be displayed on the following places of the Joom APP:

Create Ads campaign |
There is a wide range of rules regarding creating the Ads campaign, for more details please refer to the article Creating Your First Joom Ads Campaign. If your product can’t participate in the promotion, please read the article Why Can't My Product Be Promoted?.
⚠️ PLEASE NOTE:
The Joom Ads campaign will start to function 5-10 minutes after its creation.
The daily budget is the maximum amount of money Joom can charge from merchant’s account per day while the Ads campaign is on. The bid is the maximum amount of money Joom can charge from merchant’s account while Joom Ads brings one purchase to merchant.
Joom support CPA and CPM advertising. CPA Ads charges by orders it brings to the merchant, impressions which doesn't bring orders will not be charged; CPM Ads charges by impressions. If an order brought by Joom Ads was cancelled, returned, or refunded later, the related advertising fee will not be refunded.
Edit Ads |
Merchant can edit the daily budget, end date, campaign status and products of an existing Joom Ads. For more details please refer to the article How to Edit Ads?.
