Besides promoting the products on Joom platform itself, we might also promote your products on other major media platforms, for example Facebook, to attract attention of the customers that have not used Joom yet.
How does it work?
We show the advertising banner to the customer that potentially have interest in Joom.
The banner usually shows the actual products and, what is more important, the actual product prices.
How to apply to promote the product externally?
The products for external promotions are selected automatically by our mechanisms, which means there is no way you can submit your products for promoting off Joom platform.
How to check whether the product being promoted or not?
Whenever the Joom platform selects a merchant’s product for an off-site advertising promotion, you will see the yellow badge Promoted on the product page in the Merchant Panel.
Alternatively, you can check in the API system whether your product has been selected for an off-site advertising promotion. If indeed selected, the product will be marked as Is promoted.
What to pay attention to?
As we are showing real product prices to the customers, we want to make sure that the prices in the advertising match the prices in Joom app. In order not to mislead the customers, we prohibit price increase for the products being externally promoted. However, it is allowed to reduce the price.
If a merchant tries to raise the promoted product's price, the system will automatically generate an error message.
So, before editing product price, please make sure that the product is not promoted outside Joom.
How to stop participating in external promotion?
If you want your product not to be promoted any longer and being able to edit the product's price, please disable the product. Once the promotional activity ends (about two weeks), you will be able to enable the product and edit its price again.
