Product Groups
Product Groups help clients quickly identify the most relevant products on your Store page. If you don’t want clients to get lost in your big variety of products, create Product Groups!
⚠️ PLEASE NOTE: Product Groups feature can be enabled for the Top stores only. In order to enable the feature, please contact Joom merchant support team merchant@joom.com. |
Joom is highly personalized. We analyse the behaviour and preferences of each of our customers to adapt product displays based on their interests. The product groups users see may differ from the groups you see in the merchant panel. It depends on the users’ preferences and behaviour.
Basic requirements for creating Product Groups
- You have at least 1 Top store.
- Only products from Top stores can be gathered into Product Groups.
- Products from different Top stores can’t be added into the same group.
What are the rules for the Product Groups?
You can separate products into different groups based on three main rules:
- Categories. You can choose only one Category for the product group. Products added to the group should belong to your chosen category.
- Labels. You can give one label or several labels to your product group. Products in the group should comply with at least one of those labels. For more information, please refer to the article: Product Label.
- Brands. You can specify the required brand(s) for the product group. Once you’ve set the brands, products in the group should belong to at least one of the chosen brands.
You can set multiple types of rules for the product group you created. Only products meeting all the chosen rules can be added to the group. In other words, the more types of rules you set, the fewer products comply with every single rule, and the fewer products will be gathered into a group.
Example You’ve set a category and two labels for the product group: Category: Fishing Rods Labels: Hot sales rods, Mini fishing rods In this case, products belonging to the Fishing Rods category and with the “Hot sales rods” label will be added to the group; products belonging to the Fishing Rods category and with “Mini fishing rods” label will be added to the group as well. |
After you added products by rules, when there are changes in your products (such as new products added to the category or products have been removed from the platform), the product groups will change accordingly and automatically. This makes your management of product groups easier.
