According to laws of certain countries, retail personal care cosmetics must declare ingredients. This declaration of ingredients must be clearly marked on the product label and packaging in English, so consumers can read them at the time of purchase.
In addition, such a declaration must be arranged in descending order of ingredients. In certain countries and regions, cosmetic ingredients must be written in the local language. Therefore, merchants are advised to be prepared to respond to customers in different countries.
Cosmetic products include:
- Beauty products: foundation, eyeliner, lipstick, mascara, etc.
- Skin care products (face, lips, eyes, etc.): creams, eye creams, masks, lipsticks, etc.
- Body care products: body cream, body lotion, oil, etc.
Merchants are required to specify ingredients in the product description column; however, the product name cannot be listed as a product component.
The platform will review the ingredients specified by merchants. The following are some of the acceptable and unacceptable ingredients:
- Alpha hydroxy acids;
- Beta hydroxy a cids;
- Color additives;
- Talc ;
- As item shown;
- Safe liquid lipstick;
- Gel polish;
- Eye shadow;
- Moisturizing lip gloss lasting lipstick ;
- Lip gloss;

Information must to be provided in the following languages depending on the location of the merchant:
English (for merchants in China, Japan, South Korea, and Turkey);
- Russian (for merchants in Russia);
French (for merchants in France).
Use the half-width symbol on the English keyboard for punctuation.
2. Cosmetic Instructions and Warning Labels
According to laws and regulations of certain countries, certain cosmetic products must be equipped with safety instructions and warning labels to remind consumers of possible harms due to misuse.
Merchants must provide the relevant cosmetics with use instructions and warning labels, and they must be written clearly in English.
Products that must be accompanied by warning labels may include female deodorant sprays and children's bubble bath soap.
