What are Special Promotions?
The name "Special Promotions" refers to all kinds of promotional activities initiated by Joom. You, the merchant, are welcome to join in and sell at discounted prices.
Participation can help boost sales in a big way!

Step 1. Pick a Promo
All new promotions are announced in advance. This gives you a chance to learn about requirements, as well as select products for a particular promotion. You’ll see these promos labeled as "Upcoming" as their status.
Simply locate them in the list and open them.
Step 2. Read the Requirements
Once you've opened a promo, review the information under Promotion Requirements, Product Categories, and Apply Till Date.
An additional discount is the main requirement and will automatically apply to any product you select for participation in the promo. The discount will remain valid only for the promotion’s duration, i.e. from the Start Date till the End Date.
Only products from categories listed can be added to the promotion. Ineligible products will be excluded automatically.
Apply Till Date:
Pay attention to this date. Up until the date specified here, you’ll be able to apply for the promotion, add new products, delete them, or withdraw from the promotion completely. After that date, the status of the promo will switch to "Preparing.” At this point, no changes may be made, including withdrawing from the promotion.
Get to know the promo’s requirements and choose only those products that meet the requirements.
Step 3. Add products
Click on the "Add Products" button, and you’ll see a window pop up in front of you.
Copy and paste the IDs of the products you want to add to the promotion. You can separate them by comma, space, or break. Only product IDs are accepted, so SKU numbers won't work here.
You can add up to 200 products at once, but if you want to add more, just repeat several times.
Once you paste the IDs, you’ll see the list of products appear. You may want to review it first, and if certain products ended up there by an accident, simply unselect them.
Click on the "Add to Promotion" button once everything looks right.
Come back and add more products.
What products are not allowed to be added to promotion?
Please note, that Joom reserves the right to remove some products from the promotion if they do not meet Joom’s general product requirements or might be sensitive for some groups of people for ethical or some other reasons.
Step 4. Discount
How much will your product cost after the discount?
Simply go to the promotion page, and you’ll see the discounted price next to product’s current price. In fact, it’ll be the discounted price that customers will see during the promo. All of this is done automatically, so you won’t have to change the price yourself, no complicated calculation required.
Step 5. Product Validation
Once products have been selected and added to the promo, they’ll undergo validation to see if they satisfy the applicable requirements. This’ll take only but a second, and you’ll see warning label right next to your product if it fails to meet certain criteria.
A red label means your product doesn’t fulfill the requirements or not eligible, so it can't be added to the promo.
A yellow label means your product will be added, but it might be out of stock, for example.
If you hover over the warning label, you’ll see information on how to fix the problem. We urge you to remedy any issues before the Apply Till Date; otherwise, you may lose your chance to participate in the promo.
Step 6. Participate
Click on the “Participate” button on the left-hand upper corner before you leave the promo page. If you don’t, you may lose all the products you had added to the promotion. You won’t want this to happen.
In general, it might be a good idea to click on the “Participate” button anyway, even if you still would like to think over participating a little while longer. Don’t worry because you’ll always be able to withdraw from the promotion if it’s still in the “Upcoming” status. And of course, you could add more products also.
Pay a special attention to the information under Apply Till Date, Promotion Start Date, and Promotion End Date. The kind of activities you want to perform will be depend on them.
Hurry up and join the promo if you see its status as “Upcoming”!
Already joined? Excellent! During this status, you can continue to add more products, delete them, or withdraw from the promotion.
The “Upcoming” status lasts until the “apply-till” date. After that though, no new applications will be accepted, and product additions and withdrawals will no longer be allowed.
After the Apply Till Date, the promotion’s status will switch to "Preparing."
By this point, no new applications are accepted. Unfortunately, if you missed the application date, you’ll have to wait for another promotion.
During the preparation, Joom readies the promo for customers. This includes analyzing all the products added to the promo and finalizing texts and pictures to be shown to customers, as well as selecting the exact instruments for the promotion.
Of course, this means that during the “Preparing” status, you won’t be able to add or remove products from the promotion. And if your product had a warning label and you didn’t fix it before the Apply Till Date, it won't be added to the promo.
However, you can still change the stock amount and the price of the products. All changes made to the product before or during the promo will be applied to the product in the promo as well.
If you see the "Running" status of the promotion, it means the Start Date has passed, and the promo is under way.
No new applications are accepted during this time. Unfortunately, if you missed the application date, you’ll have to wait for another promotion.
If you succeeded in joining the promo, you’ll find that all the products you added are being sold at the discounted price during the "Running" status.
At this time, products already added to the promotion cannot be removed. However, you can still change the stock amount and the price of the products. All changes made to the product before or during the promo will be applied to the product in the promo as well.
The “Ended” status indicates that the promotion has concluded. It's a pity if you’ve missed it. Still, we keep a record going, so you can see the different types of promo activities we might have on the platform.
