Your products might be seen as out of stock / sold out on Joom website or Joom app in different countries, including China. This article covers several reasons on why your products seen as "out of stock" and explains how to check the way your products are seen from different regions.
Reason 1: Product's Inventory Is 0
Check the product inventory. Go to the Products page in Merchant Panel and click the name of the product you're searching for. The inventory column shows the total number of items available for sale.
When your product inventory for all product variants is 0, your product will be displayed as "out of stock" for all Joom users in all countries until you refill your inventory.
Reason 2: Product Is Viewed from the Country not Covered by JL
The countries not covered by Joom Logistics (including China) are blocked for the merchants who have few orders delivered, as the platform cannot assess the quality of the service provided by the merchant.
In this case, your products are not available to several countries only. Customers from the regions covered by Joom Logistics see and can purchase them, as usual.
When more of your orders get delivered to the customers so that we can ensure that the level of your service meets Joom requirements, the countries not covered by Joom Logistics (including China) will become available for your account.
For some countries (mostly EU), offline logistic channels are not available at all. In such regions, merchants can only use Joom Logistics services to deliver products there. Since some products due to their dimensions or weight cannot use online logistics, they will be seen as "out of stock" in such countries as well.
Reason 3: Product Is Viewed from the Disallowed Region
The products are seen as “out of stock” in the countries set as “Disallowed countries and regions” in the Merchant Panel. The customers from the countries you set as “Allowed” still see your products and can purchase them, as usual.

Reason 4: Product Category Is Restricted from Sale in the Region
Some product categories are restricted from sale in some countries or regions for different reasons.
👉 You can contact our Merchant Support team to learn whether your category is restricted from sale in a particular region.
If your product category falls into such a restriction, your products will be seen in these countries as "out of stock". The customers from all other regions still see your products and can purchase them, as usual.
How to Check Whether a Product Is “Out of Stock” or Not?
Log into Joom app or Joom website as a customer and set the country you want to check in the Address settings.
- To add an address in Joom app, go to Profile > Personal information > My addresses > +
- To add an address on Joom website, go to My card and select any product, press "Buy" > Edit address
That way, you will see the products as the customer from the selected country sees them.
