๐ European Law Requirements to Fashion Category Products
EU law requires all the products in the Fashion categories to specify some information in the product label and in the product description. Please carefully study the information below and ensure that you comply with these requirements. Otherwise, your products might become not available for the European customers.

Clothing
The requirements below apply to all children's, women's, men's and unisex clothing, as well as textile products (for example, hats, scarves, etc.).

A product label should:
- be sewn into the product;
- be in the usersโ language of the countries where you sell this product;
- contain the following information:
- general information about the product, including material, color, etc.;
- warning label (if any);
- washing care instructions;
- genuine leather information (if a product is made of genuine leather).

Children Clothing Certificates
To sell children's clothing in the EU, you must have the following certificates:
- REACH registration (for chemicals compliance). If a merchant manufactures or sells a large batch of products using the same material, they can only send one or two products for testing. In such a case, the test result could apply to all products in the batch. Follow the link to learn more.
- Certificates for EN 14682 (safety of children's clothing, like drawstrings and cords).
- Certificates for EN 14878 (burning behavior of children's nightwear).
- Certificates for EN 17394-1 (security of attachment for components like buttons, rivets etc.).

Footwear
The requirements below apply to all children's, women's, men's and unisex footwear, as well as textile and leather products (for example, insoles, shoe inserts, etc.).

A product label:
- should be visible and securely attached to at least one article of footwear in each pair;
- should be in the usersโ language of the countries where you sell this product;
- can be represented as a label, pictogram or an easy-to-read text;
- should contain the following information:
- material which constitutes at least 80% of the surface area of the upper, and the lining and sock, of the footwear, and at least 80% of the volume of the outer sole. If no one material accounts for at least 80%, information should be given on the two main materials used in the composition of the footwear;
- manufacture country;
- genuine leather information (if a product is made of genuine leather).

A product label:
- should be attached to the product;

- can be represented as a label or a pictogram;
- should contain the following information:
- material (Every bag product, for instance, handbags or backpacks or any other clothing product containing at least 80% of textile fibers by weight requires a label indicating the fiber composition permanently attached to the garment or printed on it.);
- manufacture country;
- genuine leather information (if a product is made of genuine leather).
โ ๏ธPLEASE NOTE: Leather bag importers and manufacturers cannot make false claims about the leather type or quality, regardless of whether it concerns authentic or artificial leather products. There are also national leather labelling rules in certain EU member countries.

For products made of precious materials, please indicate the fineness (830, 925, etc.).
To sell jewelry and bijouterie in the EU, you must have the following certificate:
